Nanine Ewing
is a licensed psychologist and
certified group
therapist.
She presently is in
private practice.
She has served as a
consultant to the Fairmount Clinic
in Dallas and Albuquerque, the American
Academy of Cosmetic Surgery,
the Texas
Institute for Research and
Rehabilitation and the
Psychiatric Association of
Houston.
She has been a board member of
the Group
Psychotherapy Foundation
and a council board member of
The Fielding
Graduate University.
She is a member of the
American Group
Psychotherapy Association,
the American
Psychological Association,
the Houston
Group Psychotherapy Association,
the American
Dance Therapy Association
and the
Southwest Group Psychotherapy
Society. She is a
Fellow of the American
Psychotherapy Association and is a
national and international
speaker.
She lectures on the topics of
Group Therapy, Group Dynamics,
Non-verbal Communication, Countertransference and
Intersubjectivity, and other
related subjects.
Dr. Ewing
holds an undergraduate degree
from Randolph-Macon Women's
College, and a M.A. in
counseling psychology from
St. Mary's
College and a Ph.D. from
The Fielding
Graduate University.
Dr. Ewing's theoretical
orientation is Jungian and
Object Relations. She runs four
groups a week that are
open-ended groups for mixed
gender and one women's group.
Her specialty is group therapy
and she does individual therapy.
She is available for
consultation for therapists who
want consultation for practice
building, developing or
maintaining groups or individual
consultation. She was the
keynote speaker at the American
Group Psychotherapy and
Psychodrama 2008 Conference. She
has a background training in
dance therapy. psychodrama, Adlerian counseling,
and group dynamics.
Group times are Mondays
6-7:30. Women's group:
Tuesdays 12:30-2, 5-6:30, and
6:30- 8 for mixed gender groups.
